If, however, you want to move back from AHCI to RAID when newer drivers become available this is also possible. With my NVME disk, I have not seen a huge performance difference between AHCI with the native Windows driver and RAID with Intel RST. Moving from AHCI to RAID can also be achieved without reinstalling Windows.
